so I guess what I'm trying to say is I am going to make a graphic for the place you have 'test header graphic' and we dont want the one that says 'category graphic'

ok... well check out the new samples of what I was talking about.
and i also put a little space in between the side table and the main forum.
What do you think? is that ok? or still think the side table graphic should be smaller to put in more space. Note how much of the black is around the outside border of the forum. See if that looks ok too.

Hrm...okay, I think I'ma shrink them, because next to the main table they look way too large XD
And, see where you have the thing that says 'lalalala lacey pattern' ? That is where I want the forum name graphic, and then where you have the Character Creation Center graphic, we dont want a graphic, we just want the thin stripe of that color.

Ok.... that's not going to work I don't think... because that top thing where is says lacey patter in a a header and I think they all have to be the same.
Where the other one is, that is where the category name goes I'm not sure I can move that above the header thing... I'll see if I can, there might be a setting but I'm not sure.

BUT.... we can take the header off... but then you won't have the two tone effect.

*sigh*
What I mean is... you have two graphics. One says lacy pattern. One says test category graphic. Why can't I make the one that says lacy pattern just say the name, and then instead of a thick mauve banner that says character creation center make -that- like a one/two pixel stripe of the same color you are using in that graphic
Dont you have two graphics plugged in there?

Or we can just remove the header all together if we can't do what I'm talking about, and I'll do the category graphics with the forum names and then put a pixel/two pixel stripe of the mauve for the same effect XD

Hold on a sec... .I'm going to change something...
The problem is..... the graphic you are going to make with the category name can't go ABOVE the lacey graphic thing...
I'm going to change the lacey graphic... make it a thin strip... which I don't know if you want it mauve or the dark maroon... depends on what color you are making the grahpics with the category names.

YEah.. I think that we will just have to remove the header/footer code that adds the second graphic on top.. because that graphic will be the same across the board on top of each category.. so if we want a two tone.. we'd have to just do it on the header graphic itself.

Yeah, I just one one graphic, that says the name of the category-- I'm going to 'see' what the pattern looks like on top of the crimson, but I might not go that route, and then I'll just do a thin stripe beneath to give the two tone effect XD

Ok... so now check it out..... and I can make that maroon strip there even thinner if you want... right now it is 10 px and I took out the base image.

Ok.... I think I gotcha now... If you can make the two tone effect with your ONE graphic that's cool.

yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. XD And I made the sidebar graphic a little smaller i55.tinypic.com/ealf7b.jpgThe dimensions are 217px by 161px I still really like it without a border though, can that be done? Or do you have to screw with the whole boards coding?

Okay, Rissa doesn't think they are too large, so lets wait on changing them out until I make some others. I think maybe to me its just the repeating thats throwing me off <3
